Lean forward in contrast to leaning back to know what’s going on in our world

Remember this the next time some shill says the economy is recovering or that GMOs are good for us, that pharmaceutical drugs and vaccines don’t cause any harm, or that eating clean food and pristine water won’t help prevent most disease. It’s an information war, and your opinion counts. ~Christina Sarich

Mainstream media news broadcasts are pervasive. There is no escaping the news. I observed that news broadcasts are numerous throughout the course of the day, and are all scheduled more or less at the same time of day by multiple channels. News flashes and updates appear as a matter of urgency no matter the programme it interrupts. It is only possible to avoid the vile news by pulling the plug and tossing the devise out of your house out of your life. Do it now and wake up.

Politicians use public relations techniques to craft self-images and slogans that resonate with the television news audience in the form of sound bites. Due to its brevity, the sound bite overshadows the broader context in which it is spoken and is misleading or inaccurate or both. Of course, the sound bite is the product of television’s power over all forms of communication ever invented.

The seizure of the mainstream press was recently highlighted by the exposure of the extreme influence of the Murdoch empire over British, American and Australian news sources and major political figures. Murdoch and other moguls continue to fund their loss-making mastheads to maintain their grip and influence on this manipulated matrix of deceit and control. Meanwhile, Western intelligence agencies are busy manipulating and controlling online discourses with tactics of deception and reputation-destruction.

… agencies are attempting to control, infiltrate, manipulate, and warp online discourse, and in doing so, are compromising the integrity of the internet itself.

Among the core self-identified purposes of JTRIG are two tactics: (1) to inject all sorts of false material onto the internet in order to destroy the reputation of its targets; and (2) to use social sciences and other techniques to manipulate online discourse and activism to generate outcomes it considers desirable.[1]

The mainstream news and comfort nexus is a habit that many find impossible to sever. Comfort (leaning back) is familiar. No challenges. No learning. No adventure. No new experiences. No stepping out away from your safe home environment. Doldrums. No learning of any sort. Nothing physical or intellectual or emotionally demanding. No growth. The quest for comfort is endlessly reinforced by the mainstream media and amplified by the mindless repeating of clichés and continues unchallenged and unabated.

If you want to know what’s going in the world you will want reliable information that directly or indirectly impinges on you the individual. To access such resources you will need to lean forward in contrast to leaning back. To be well-informed a person needs comprehensive analyses of information that allow facts to be understood from a broader perspective. Long-range analyses are important as are immediate information sources. You would turn to alternative online sites for information and analyses—to know what’s going on in our world! This involves shifting the locus of control from the master manipulators to the individual and truncating enslavement by the all pervasive consumption model created by advertising, obsolescence and credit that enslaves, cripples and indebts people who are powerless to respond.

Wake up to the talking points, sound bites, and propaganda headlines. Don’t let mainstream television, radio and newspapers continue to feed you lies, spin (biased opinion), and puerile babble.
