Pilgrimage With Simon Reeve. Episode 1: Pilgrimage to Canterbury.

Episode 1: Pilgrimage to Canterbury.
Simon Reeves starts at Lindisfarne (Holy Island) and makes his way, by every means other than actually walking pilgrim-like, to Canterbury cathedral. My  England pilgrimage (walking) experiences: 2005 Saint Cuthbert’s Way: from Melrose Abbey to Lindisfarne (Holy Island) off the coast of Northumberland; and 2008 from my home in north London to Canterbury with St Martin in the Fields. Nothing in this documentary that I saw or heard resonated or excited in any way with my own pilgrimage experience in England; whereas the film The Way (2010) came closest to capturing a genuine pilgrim experience. I can’t imagine that this documentary will enthuse anyone to go on pilgrimage.
